MIC HELP

For whatever reason all of a sudden my mic is sounding choppy in game. I've made no adjustments to anyting it just started doing this last night. I have a backup mic, brand new, and it does the same thing.

any ideas

Any packet loss happening? Maybe the soundcard is getting bottle necked somehow. Blame it on steam.

I actually noticed that most of the mics sound better than before. You're mic is definitely not better.

Could the connectors be durty br? I know it happens to my mic some times.

Mic not working right, monitor shuts off at midnight and or when you try to burn a cd... sounds like something is wrong with your box?

did you install nero recently or was it on your machine before it went in for repair?

Are you using windows xp? Try adding this to your userconfig.cfg:

voice_dsound 0

That fixed my problems when I upgraded to Windows XP.
