Valve should of considered my idea of shipping half life 2 on the release date with inside it being a cd that contains a PONG mod for the original halflife, and adding hi-res models for the original to make it 'seem' like it, until around december they would release a 'patch' over steam that is around 800 mb. Come on, it would work.

I'd rather wait and have them release it with fewer bugs and better net code. I hate it when a game is released and the next week there is a 100mb patch.

Oh yeah and as to the subject of this thread:

I heard that HL2 is going to be released together with TF2 in a bundled package just about the time I retire from the work seen to enjoy my well earned retirement. That would be in 2035...

Could be worse, they could release it and have tons of bugs and gliches like they did when Star Wars Galaxies released prematurely, that game has been out for at least 4 months and is only 80% functional and very unbalanced, not to mention I pay 15 bucks a month to beta test...
