That's for HL2. And it's pretty much the same as it was before, when HL came out. You have to buy the mods who's makers decide to charge, like TF2. _________________

Not until HL2. They want to make money from HL2, after all. |

if you get HL2 in the store you will not have to pay to play the game.
TF2 should be going retail so that mod you will have to pay for.
besides, if you wanna play the mod blue shift or opposing force you also need to pay for the game. it won't be any different. _________________ PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF =US-V= & VILLE $UPPORTER |

Exactly my point. They still want to get paid, they are a business
after all. I don't see any 'Evercrack' going on.
Now if they had asked for a CC number or RTN+Acct number up
front, I would be suspcious.
What I have to wonder about: Before Valve got Half-Life finished,
it looked... well, pretty bad. Not many people figured it would be
a success, let alone a defining force in gaming. Sierra took a risk
by being their distributor for HL... and now Valve wants to try to
cut them out of the loop for HL2? How grateful. |
