Hello, I am a 29 guy, tryin' to finish a degree in Media Arts. I am split between doing freelance still press photography and freelance video production. That means I get to play with $pendy digi cams, mac & pc, editing video and audio, that kind of thing.

I enjoy mountain biking, fisbee golf, skateboarding (on big ramps), & snowboarding.
And I of course spend too much time at The Ville.

The level of play is high, and the regulars are nice. Admins do a decent job of kickin' morons -> Thank You.

See you all on the field

Well, since everyone else is spilling the beans about their Real World life, I will drop a tidbit or two...

My Real name is Tyson. I am 30, soon to be 31 on September 7th. I live with my gal and I am currently a freelancer. I graduated with a degree in Fine Art and a minor in art history. I love computers, been into them since Commador 64s, Apple IIes and Tandys... I used to work with Robert E and Cadman(seems like years agobut I was laid off about 2 months ago) but now I do fine art commissions(soft pastels drawings mostly) and hand made frames.

I love me some beer and I love to play bass guitar. Other than a little reading every night, I am a dedicated TFC fan. Roberto and I decided a year or so ago that we needed to create a place to house good sports and fine team play and thus Turkeyburgerville was born. It has evolved as all good things should and now we have theVille! I just want to thank all of you for making the'Ville what it is today. Without your great sportsmanlike conduct and fun humor we wouldn't be here!

As to all of you Old Farts out there, thanks for being a part of the'Ville. Its really heart warming to see others with the same addictions as me and most of them older! Hah! Count me into the clan of dirty old men and I do believe I am the youngest of the [DOM] so give me the iron sights and a couple full metal jackets and lets rock!!!

See ya around the 'Ville!

Sweet! Another old guy, and another musician at that. Here's another name suggestion for the over-30 clan: <PWG>, which of course stands for Pimps With Geritol.

Sorry to disapoint all you old-timers, but I'm just another kid with too much time on my hands. (I only hope TFC stays around for another 30 or so years so I can be a [WOM] lol)

Anyway, my real name is Scott and I'm a 19 year old student from New York. I'm currently working on my BS/MS in electrical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Its a pretty lame school actually, but it has OC3..so I couldn't exactly turn it down (Can't wait to go back and have a 20-something ping again!)

When I'm not fraggin' in the Ville I work for the NYS apprentership program (which means a teach a bunch of weak old men how to use computers and software and such) as an adult educator. Annoying job, but the pay i good and the women seem to love teachers (who knew?!?). I also play Ultimate (but Bak - no physical contact? Hah, we level each other. Well ok, no cheap shots after you have the disk but while its in the air anything goes. And there's over 100 teams in the rochester area, so if your ever in need of a tourney or something...), play in a band, love clubs and party, and hanging out with the lady-friends (woohoo, girls!).

Great post Omega, it answered a lot of questions i've been secretly asking myself. But don't think it will make me think twice before knifing you in the back! Muhaha...

My real name is Josh and I'm 30 years old. I work in the computer field now, and like Thom, used to be a professional musician.

I still play, just not with a band. Our band opened for groups like Overkill, COC and Testament when they would come through town. We never "made it" much farther than the MD, VA, NC area but I made lots of friends and I have a lot of great stories.

Now I'm busy being married and a father of a one year old. We he goes to bed pop can go to The Ville and frag some of the friendly folk here.

Wow, I'm in shock! Frag shy, wow, I'll have to remember that? And Maian and LilBigCip nerds with no friends? I just hope that I can raise my children to be as respectful as you two and with straight A's

Well, I'm 31 and married to CyCoDaD. We have the Brady bunch, three boys and three girls. The two oldest kids are DaD's from a previous marriage, the two oldest boys are mine from a failed marriage and the two youngest, a boy and a girl are ours.

I'm slightly insane, some have wondered why Dad doesn't have me committed but then again others wonder why Dad is allowed to wander the streets alone.

I LOVE animals, maybe a bit too much. I have approx. 50 birds (parrots), 4 dogs, fish and some lizards, DaD has two cats and one parrot. Luckily the animals like us, other wise we'd be sleeping on the streets.

We have several TV's One in nearly every room, none in the bathrooms though

I'm a slacker, I don't work, haven't in 7 or 8 years. I do like to do web sites, my own and some for bird organizations (one of my own). I'm also active in bird clubs (yes there is such a thing) and I was reciently elected to serve on the board of one.

I love playing games. Starcraft is my all time fav. I tollerate playing Age of Empires and it took a long time for me to get into TFC, thanks to Avantiville for showing me the game can be fun with great people to play with!

To anyone still reading these, I'm alittle late but oh well.

I too am a Network Admin for one of the top 10 insurance brokerage firms. I am 22 and like most players from the HOT state of Texas. Houston is where I have been most of the time. And when I am not assisting helpless people on the computer I am getting my 79' vette to run, or being killed on the ville. I am also a volunteer fireman, and on top of all that a self taught musician. I play it all, but my main instrament, like JohnC, is the bass guitar.

I've only been hooked for about two months, but have been playing the ville for a couple weeks. I enjoy and plan to stay and gain those frags.

See ya'll on the feild!!

People!
Hey, it's been a while. I'm glad to be back. Here I am.
I'm 31, and an assistant table games shift manager in a casino in St. Louis MO. I've got 2 great sons, 9 and 6, and a WONDERFUL, complete pain in the ass, wife. Zero, I hope that this helps your non IT professional outlook.
I would get a kick out of being in an "old dude" clan, but.... but.... oooh oooh, me arthritis.
By the way, my powers are NOT weak, just um.... diluted with Jack Daniels.

Heh, saw a bunch of Q's on the ultimate frisbee posts...first of all, great choice of sport Bak! You don't have to get rid of the disc TOO fast, but there's a stall count once the defender gets in position (counts to 10 once he's set), and that's how long you have to dump the thing off. There's about 6 main throws, as already mentioned, but a bunch of other trick throws and variations that are only useful in certain situations and only once pretty much...a lot like that million dollar play in football that you see once in a great while. Now, I don't know what kind of ultimate you've been playing, but there is quite a bit of contact at times (though not intentional...think of it like the rules in football for pass interference...there's a thin line between good D and too much force, and it gets pushed a lot). I've actually broken a finger playing (heh, and finished the rest of the day...never even knew it til the damned thing healed crooked), and we've had plenty of peeps get hurt, but that's just like any sport that involves running.

Typically you'll have a couple main handlers (throwers) on your team on O, w/ a couple mid recievers and deeps. We tend to use a stack offense, where the team lines up and makes short cuts out into the open...that way you draw the disk away from the majority of defenders. On D, there's usually either man-to-man or zones for us, but that tends to depend on just how good you are. Our team is pretty new and we get our asses kicked a fair amount, but if you've never played, get a group of friends and go at it. Just remember...you can't run with the disk, and if it lands on the ground the other team gets it, even if it was knocked down by the D. It's loads of fun casually, ya don't need a league to have a hell of an afternoon.

*end shameless ultimate frisbee plug*

Hello. First post. I am 31 and I am in manufacturing of paper (cut big rolls into 8.5" x 11" sheets). I started playing with the name d years ago but soon found that most games or mplayer etc.. required at least 3 letters. One night while trying to get into a game the name d was used and I needed a new name and smellfunny just came to mind. It stuck and I still use it today.

As a dad with 2 kids and a wife finding time to play is tough but whenever I get on I look for "The 'Ville" : )

I feel bad about bringing this up, but why are you fellas so shy? I used to have trouble talking to people, but I figured something out, people love to talk and have someone actually listen. I'm not saying walk up to a complete stranger and try to hold a conversation, but talk to some people you know at first, and then talk some more and broaden your horizons. By the way, I forgot my story of my life. I lived in a really bad neighborhood until I was 5, where I moved to where I am now. I started school, and by second grade I had been suspended over 12 times for fighting. After about 6 years I cooled down and I haven't gotten into a fight since last year (You think I'm good at TFC, you should see me fight, I'm better in reality). Now I'm a happily overwhelmed student with a passion for running, ultimate frisbee, conversation, and my girlfriend who consistently calls me when I'm playing TFC . That's the story of my life in a coconut shell
