I don't know too much about motherboards but a cheap graphics cards that will perform very well would be the Nvidia MX/440. It's got 64 MB RAM and should be $100 or less. It's what I run and I am very happy with it.

P2/300 CPU's are Slot 1 CPU's. You may have a very hard time finding new motherboards that will support them. You can check computer surplus places to see what you can find and go from there. Just remember that they will use PC-66 ram.

Depending on the mobo that you find it may or may not have a AGP slot for a video card, if it does it most likely will only be a 1X slot and you will need a card that is compatible. More than likely any boards you find wont have AGP so you will have to dig up PCI video cards.

Good Luck.

To add to what JD said...

If you go the route of using your old CPUs, you may find an old server board that supports 4 processors. (It may have to be a motherboard/riser combination which would require a new case.)

Assuming you're running Windows, the base Windows configuration should support up to 4 CPUs.

dont bother getting a server mobo that supports several p2 CPUs, very few games can even use SMP (multiple processors) and it would be awfully expensive... id just go with a AMD althon or p4, you can get a very good cpu-mobo combo for under $100, www.pricewatch.com is great for looking for stuff

As far as multi cpus go only NT 4.0 Workstation, Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows XP Pro support more than one CPU. Well the server operating systems do too but they tend to not be the root of a gaming machine.
