| This is my ramble/suggestion. If it is the policy of the Ville that there be a demo made for everyone who is banned and the demo does not work then the ban should be removed. If the people are infact cheating then it will take a very short time to create another working demo to show that they're cheating and then ban them again. This does apply to my situation but this isn't meant as an argument or complaint for it specifically, just a general thought. |

Bacon, I am curious... and I mean this with sincerity and all due respect... Why is this so important to you? I mean, we all know... as has been made abundantly clear by so many in other threads... there are so many servers out there. With that in mind, I can not help but wonder why you persist when it seems your queries are no longer being considered.

It's a pride issue, most likely. Maybe the other folk he played with during his short time here were pretty cool to play with, so he'd want an actual confirmed reason for having that pleasure taken away from him. Or perhaps he's had a look around the rest of the forums, and decided that the community around here is worth sticking around for, as it is a great place to be, after all.
Most likely, he is also a bit peeved that he has been accused, charged and punished for something, about which at least Scottish folk would give the verdict "not proven"  A lot of people, I'm afraid, disrespect the decision to ban this guy. Of course, I'm still young, haven't really seen the real world, and don't know what it's like to have to cover for friends or work colleagues in such a way. No doubt I'll end up doing so at some point in the distant future, but it really isn't necessary in this case.
I honestly believe that this guy should be unbanned, then watched closely in future, until y'all are sure that he doesn't cheat. He has given his part on not cheating, and I do not believe that he is lying. I'm pretty sure that if he is allowed to stick around, he can become another decent part of The Ville. After all, The Ville re-introduced DoD for diversification reasons, to get more people into it. It seems a shame to drive people away in this manner.
Another incentive to lift the ban - when you do unban him, and he does get caught cheating again, you can use this post and taunt me with it for the rest of my days  |

Some of us have been trying for years to be good enough that people accuse us of cheating. You should consider yourself flattered! 
But being banned isn't quite so flattering. At least you aren't wearing it as a badge of honor, as certain obnoxious types do. Despite what your first impressions may have been, these servers are a pleasant place to be 99% of the time, and this is not a place where admins like to throw their weight around. You'll find that most of the people in power around here are adults with families and careers. We aren't TFC gods by any stretch of the imagination, but we do try to keep a decent community to the best of our feeble abilities.

| I have read many of the forums and received messages from many people and a large majority are very nice people who are looking to play in a fun environment. I started this thread just to make a point for consideration about policy, although greatly appreciated the back and forth that has taken place really isn't helping this thread make my initial point, instead it's just carried the argument over from the complaint forum. If you do feel the need to voice your opinion in support of what is going on or against what is going on please do it in the complaint section so that it's easier on the people who just want to read the rambling and have nothing to do with the complaint issues. Again thanks everyone but please let this thread just be a point about policy, not a battle amongst us. |

I will step in again, even if it's unwise, to explain my view of this as a former high level TFC clan member. To be accused of cheating on any servers, but especially a server with a standing community like The Ville, could be very bad for your clan's image. Once, one CSI members were under suspiscion of hacking, and the entire clan was hurt, because the integrity was put in question. Some players here plays in leagues, and if the news breaks on Catacomb's forum, this could be very ugly for the clan, especially since TWO members are banned for cheating.
So I'm not really surprised this is important for him.

| We're a DoD clan, we were banned on the DoD server, just to clear that up. We're not worried about the league hearing we're cheaters cause they know we're not and we're not worried about other clans finding out cause they've been coming here to support us cause they too know we're not. It's just personal reputation that we're trying to restore. |

Yeah, I know that. Good to hear they support you. 
But then, something else happens.... ppl then remember that episode on The Ville server and start to wonder.
Your reputation was all my post was about.

so are we beating a dead horse here or what (no offense horses4u)? How many times has it got to be said that there will be new procedures placed into effect due to the situation that has occured with ACR? give it a rest... you are unbanned and your reputation is clear. Lets move on folx.
