Heh, ive been getting this thing recently where after i've been playing TFC for a while, and then exit to my desktop, all the icons are mixed around!! 
what is that????? |

A similar thing happened to me when I used some DVD-viewing software yesterday. It got stuck on a lower resolution, so whenever I ran it, all my icons would end up at the top of the screen. So it maybe resolution related, especially if you've gone and messed up with a couple of settings (like I did).
I have since uninstalled the software  |

they dont all end up at the top of the screen or anything, they stay in rows but they just get rearranged  |

What's probably happening is you have autoarrange on, so when it goes to the lower resolution your icons jumble around to fit in the smaller screen size.
I used to have this problem a lot, and still do sometimes. it seems to happen most often when HL doesn't exit the program properly(like in a crash). |
