Any Good Tank Games???

Anyone remember WarGasam the first person tank game?
Anyone have any recommendations on a newer game in this style?

Dunno if this is a tank game, per se, but Mech Warrior is a good game. Tanks with legs... OOH, I see a new addition to TFC that would be really cool...

My Atari 2600 came with Combat. That's the kick ass tank game of all time!! Did I say Atari 2600?? I guess only the 25+ crowd will know what that is.

My friend has playstation, n64, nintendo, snes, gbc, gba emulators on his computer. He litterally has every snigle snes game that has ever come out, he downloaded a .zip off morpheus that sported every single snes game ever. Also with his playstation emulator he can play playstation cds on his computer.

Remember the racing game Enduro, or Yars Revenge that had the weird bug in it that if you did certain things a text screen would pop up with some error code or easter egg? Yeah, my misspent youth.

Yes, I know those emulators are controversial, but they are so cool. I only have one for the 2600 and some arcade games I never see around anywhere anymore. There is a Playstation game for Speed Racer that I would love to try so I'll have to check that emulator out. I'm a closet Speed Racer freak.

You'd never expect me to drive a beige Camry, with my love of Speed Racer. But then that's the conundrum of FingerDemon.

Roof, I know what you are saying with Tank games. It seems a good simulator would be a good fit for tanks. Especially since I learned of several multi tank actions in historical engagements. (WWII on the Russian front had the largest tank battle ever with hundreds of tanks on both sides. I think it was Battle of Mursk?) And even the modern military battles of Desert Storm saw heavy tank use. So, I don't understand the lack of good tank games, either.

Yeah Finger, I guess the latest versions/upgrades of the M1 can do like 40mph in combat situations, with laser sight guided armor piercing shells too. I want one.

Tanrus WAS THE MOST BAD ASS TANK GAME OF ALL TIME!! I wish I would have kept it. Me and my brother Beta tested it it was really cool. It was on the capture the flag basis deal. You would be on one of the four teams and would try to beat on each other. You would have to work as a team to cap recons to move in farther into enemy occupation. you would have batteries and when you would shoot you would use a little of this battery when you ran out it would sap your ability to shoot or go full throtal. You had sheild that you could redistribute to the front or the back as needed to protect as you ran or if you were going in head on. As people wasted the sheild they would hit the main body and eventualy kill you getting a frag point. The longer you would live while killing folk the more bounty their would be on your head. The scores were tallied and you could compair yourself to the other players kind like TFC. you could modify your tank and put like diff lasers or rockets on your tank. You had a number of slots and they varied on each tank be it a light fast tank it would only have a few slots. A larger slower tank had more weapons but slower. You could rotate turet etc and could fight any one of the 4 teams. With the amount of points in the game it would rank you as diff military tank ranks. Their was much much more to it but if I wrote it all down it would be horridly long. Like the jump jets you could put on your tank to jump onto buildings and have a sharp shooter laser which was powerful and could zoom. And dampeners which would cushin your fall and not take damage. Was very cool I wish I still had it. but you this one was THE BEST TANK GAME OF ALL TIME!!!!!!

Well Roofcutter, I think I can help you on a tank game. I know of several drinking games and if you drink to excess you will be tanked!
