Normally when it freezes i just restart the computer and try again. Works every time.

Sound card? motherboard? is the video card AGP or PCI?

soundcard is on the motherboard itself i haven't put one in.

How do i know which motherboard i'm using (pre build computer) and now a very dumb question how do i know if it's AGP or PCI and what is the difference between them??????? i can work with a computer like the best but about hardware i'm a noob.

Borg, I had a old cpu with a via chipset and always had problems like you.. The best thing you could do is make sure you have the latest Via Chipset drivers, Or 4 in 1 as they call them.. Perhaps you didnt install these in the past?

http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2

download the "New" ViaVIAHyperion4in1v4.45.exe and see if that helps at all. Not hard to install, you might see it redetect some of your mainboard hardware though..

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!!!

I had installed the hyperion drivers. That is actually what I believe what started my problems. I installed one of the previous AGP drivers, and so far, I haven't frozen yet.

*edit to add*
I would also highly recommend the hyperion drivers to anyone who runs a via chipset, any chipset. These drivers incresed my framerate from about 15 fps to 30fps+. I barely get any slowdown anymore and have the framerate capped at 30fps since that seems to be about as low as it goes most of the time.
