|
|
I downloaded the latest updates for 98 from Microsoft.
I have lost all sound.
I have done everything I can think of to get it back with no luck.
I check my mixer and it says everything is off. I change it and turn everything up but when I close and reopen the mixer, it's all off again.
I have no sound at all.

What sound card do you have?? I've had the problem not that long ago. I would uninstall the software for the sound and reinstall. Worked everytime. BTW I have a Soundblaster card. _________________

Have you made sure your speakes are plugged in. Thats happened to me before. Took me a week and a half to figure out they were plugged into the wrong sockets _________________

I've had that happen to me once. I reinstalled the sound card drivers and I was up and running. Hope it helps.

Do you have any sound on the computer or just the TFC?
If you loaded the new Direct X 9.0;
Could be the DX drivers. run DXDIAG.exe and run the sound test.
If still nothing, go to the sound card web site and download the latest drivers. _________________
