I was walking around in the Avanti map recently and found myself looking at the shop signs. I wondered what they meant (they appear Italian). Does any body know what it means?

I'm not sure of how to use it in a sentence but I belive it means "ahead". A car is called Avanti and I saw a movie where a man was using "avanti" to hurry a group of people up a hill. Yes it's Italian as far as I know. Thats what I know. Hope I didn't embrass myself to much:)

Here's another...Avanti's is an italian restaurant chain around here...not sure how much territory it covers. Is it up in Chi-town w/ Frag and Silver? I know it's all over in central IL, pretty good food...the poor man's Olive Garden (ie MY Olive Garden, lol).

SZ, you actually have an Avanti?!? That is very interesting. I didn't know such a place existed. Perhaps I'll take a trip out to visit it (National Landmark?)
I can just image me walking through the place poking the patrons with my salad fork. When they complain I'll say "Hey, I was just spy checking!!" Hehe.... I'll have to remind myself I can't do custom sprays on the walls and floor (hides spaintpaint behind his back).
I bet 99 out of a 100 people who eat there never even recognize its significance... |

I never heard of an Avanti restaurant. Don't think they are in Chicago. I'll ask some friends.
Will have to go south someday and try it out.

Once in a fit of boredom I did a search on the internet for all the Avanti sites out there. I was amazed how many there were. I tried to convince Rob as our mayor to contact all these businesses bering run in Avantiville about paying their taxes and Robert dubbed me the Taxman and requested that I collect. Sadly I am poor at collection services so we never got any money.
Perhaps we should sell them advertising space at the ville!

When I was living in Cape Town, South Africa - my favourite restuarant was an Italian place called Avanti !!! Run by a great Italian (what else ???) guy called Roberto, who would welcome me and my wife back as old friends with free shots of Frangelico Liqeur.

Avanti seems like a WWII themed map, with the Italian setting and the moving uphill to capture a church, as if it were a base. |
