The Amp doesn't make the DVDs skip?
The DVD player on the Sub is not actually being used .. or else it would skip. The HTPC on the otherside of the room has a DVD-ROM and I use that for DVD's

AMD ... also .. if you end up getting a AM2 socket system now, AMD said that the new processors will be backward compatible to the AM2 socket, so you'll have a nice upgrade path.
