In XP try going into your Event View and select system. It should tell you a log of error problems and hopefully help you to solve what is going on.

Found this in the software section, but I think it has something to do with another problem which it opens 2 versions of cstrike 1 normal and the other invisible and takes up about 50 mb of ram.

Faulting application cstrike.exe, version 1.0.0.5, faulting module cstrike.exe, version 1.0.0.5, fault address 0x01939392.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

And one for UT2003 with the random restarts....

Hanging application UT2003.exe, version 0.0.0.0, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

i'm not a programmer but what that might mean is that you might have to uninstall, by the looks of it, counterstrike because it seems to have a problem loading the execute file of cstrike.

Changed ACPI in devicemanger to Standard PC.

Open Device Manager
Expand Computer
open properties of ACPI
Goto Driver-tab
Update driver
Select from list
Choose Standard PC.
