I was on DODS last night using a thompson. The gun was shooting to the left. To hit the something I had to move the sights off the target. Is there anyway to zero the sights in ???

LOL nope thats one of the main reasons that people are not playing it. The accuracy is so far off with all the weapons. That and you need a very decent system to run it. I'm sure when they fix that issue it will become popular like the v1.3, but untill then thats one thing you will have to deal with untill they figure it out.

I know what you mean though I shot many people that I know I was nowhere near shooting them and all of a sudden they are laying flat on there face...lol Makes for a sloppy game or great game for the ones that can't shoot straight...lol

Sounds like it may be time to adapt. Think

That’s pretty much the reason I don’t play source as much. I think they missed the point on why DOD is so much fun. It’s not the realism it’s game play. Source looks really good but just doesn’t peg my fun meter out.
The fun of 1.3 is being able to kill people you see. In source you have to set the person up and ambush him, Empty your whole clip in his face and hope you kill him.
They tried to make it real, then add killing a guy with a left-handed punch to the head.
Bazookas are stronger and are used as an assault weapon. I’m pretty sure that never happened in WW II. When they fix some issues I'll play it more.

It is reasonably fun for me (since I suck anyway it doesn't make as much difference). But not as much as 1.3 - since most of my friends are there.

I think they were doing the lack of accuracy for game play but it didn't work. It wasn't for realism (I read a first hand field report from the era of the Thompson - 1933 to be exact) because a real Thompson was reasonably accurate.

If you want realism there should be no crosshair at all (except sniper rifle - and even with sniper rifle the crosshairs should only be right on target at two distances from the gun.)

Hopefully they will get the message over time. People are voting with their feet and I'm sure it is not unnoticed by Valve.

I hate that about Source. They are so inconsistant with their degree of realism when designing it. I like being able to hit things that I aim at...

Maybe this will help

The CORNER SHOT is the ultimate solution for dealing with the deadly threats that lurk "around the corner" in a variety of tactical situations encountered by military and law enforcement personnel, anti-terror units and SWAT teams operating in open or built-up areas, inside buildings, rooms and enclosed spaces, and especially in forced entry situations

Actually, there were lots of serious problems with Source games at first. They've sorta' fixed the big ones, but they're still there.

Wana' see an example? Check out this video about Counter-Strike: Source

I'm fairly sure there are similar problems with DOD, since this is a Source engine issue with networked games. Nice, eh?

maybe they are going a little too far with the whole "lead your target" concept?

That is frigin hilarious.

A little leading of the hitboxes makes sense, but that was just bloody ridiculous.
