Ville 1 Issue

Everytime I try to join 2 things happen:

My Ping is never less that 210 (unplayable for source).
and the server locks up my client and HL2 dies (it either errors and drops to desktop or hard lock, only on this server).

Restart your computer happened to me lastnight

I reD/L DoD Source 3 times lastnight it didn't work restarted my computer and poof all fixed...lol

Did no change. There is something up with mani i bet. That is why most of us have gone to ville 3 due to ping and also the key not to crash when joining a server.

And I have no issue on any other source server...I am confused...

Hmm thats what fixed mine lastnight. Check your memory usage when you join as DoD Source has alot of leakage in it. It's good to restart your computer atleast once a day with it, because it seems to be holding some of the info in the memory.

HMM I just joined TV1 seems fine to me.

I now have 2gb matched corsair ram...so steam cant have anymore room than that lol...

besides if it gives me an error I can hop into ville 3 without an issue

Have you ran a tracert to check for bad hops ?

Yep. ping to the server is highest 90. Highest ping to the ville 3 (yes I know it is west coast) is 24.

Sorry to say but it has to be something server side for the server to sit empty for days in the eves when i am on

Ok i just got in...it took a lot longer than normal during the pre load..but it seemed to work..no I am offically confused

TV3 uses mani as well. Pings are fine to the midwest. You're on the west coast so is TV3, therefore pings will be better for you to TV3.
