But, my computer and graphics card is 2 and half years old, so it is not as top notch as it use to be. But the P4 2.8HT is all I need for another year or two.
That 5200 was a great card IMHO, it even played HL2 without any problems. But, now it is starting to show its age, I think it is around 3 years old or so.
So it looks like I will be getting a eVGA 256 6800GT. When I decide to get a new pc, I may just take out my 6800GT from this one
My computer is also about 2 1/2 year old. I have a P4 2.4GHz running strong with a geforce4 MX 440 graphics card. (Its a beast...) It can run HL2 with all of the lowest settings and still get 60+FPS!!! So those who purchased DoD:S, watch out cuz I'm coming for ya!

Well if it only supports Dx7, then there must be something special about my particular card, because Dx9c is running on it. Must be some glitch or something, but I assure you Dx9c runs on it without a flaw.

most old cards can run newer versions, but i don't think it will support most of the features. all nvidia cards below the 6xxxx series run dx8.1 and below as default on hl2, so unless you cahnged it in the console its not running dx9 in hl2.

Isn't there a software DX that you can upgrade even though the hardware DX doesn't?
