Hmmm, I now avoid ECS boards. They are a good value but sometimes reliability can be an issue.

Read reviews on any board before you purchase, know what your intentions are (OC or no OC) and be prepared to pay for a better board.

If OC is your plan then spend on a good case, HS/F, fans and good cooling in general. That will help to keep it running steady.

Have fun.

SOYOs are good, too

Stay away from Intel boards. They are expensive and prone to recalls.

FTC is a quality product for cheap, but it is a turkey shoot if the one you bought was good our or not. The other thing to go by is the store you are buying from. Here when I go to a Fry's Electronics I know to avoid any returns that have been reshelved, since I do not trust the judgement of the empolyees that work there. I have be burn before.

Maybe I'm crazy but that would tell me something right there. If the place your gonna buy it from doesn't want to have anything to do with it then you might consider another board, maybe even another store

Heh, he already has to drive two hours to that one. I've got a Gigabyte board and haven't had any problems with it.

All I run are Asus boards. Good for overclocking and not fire prone

I would be a little cautious about FIC motherboards. I have recently found out that at least one of my computer problems has been caused by a defective motherboard. Other than that one incidence, I have found my motherboard to be pretty good. It might be great with the other one of the same model that I have recently gotten.
