TFC woes.

i just cannot understand this. lately i've been having a crap load of problems with tfc. weird thing is, DoD and NS run like a damn dream!
my problem is my fps always runs lower than it should and i have a pretty constant choke that hangs around 15.

here are my system specs:
1.3 processer
640mb rdram
NVidia GeForce 4 mx420(64mb card, ick)
cable connection
80 gig hd

someone help me get this straightened out please.

ok its eather
A: your choke is doing it, this i read in a post here but im to lazy to find it but its when eather u or the server (forget whcih) is trying to send info to the other side but it cant be allowed because your settings a too low.

or

B: your tfc is fudged up and well stick with NS and DOD

I am blind what was the OS?

And in DOD (i HATE DOD) i run at 100 fps. Full combat 10 vs 10 same area about 40fps. Also I let the game set the defaults on the video card.

ok, to clear a few things up, my fps runs at like 33, which cannot be right.
my OS is ME, soon to be upgraded to XP. some of the settings i run which may be a problem are:

cl_cmdrate 40
cl_updaterate 40
rate 9999

note, these are all on cable. im running 1027 x 768 or whatever it is.

Try setting these setttings to the fps that you think you should be getting:

fps_modem x
fps_lan x
fps_max x

Where x is the number you want to achieve(yes I know that some of those settings should do nothing, but sometimes they do even though they shouldn't).

I also hate dod.
