I use http://www.dslreports.com/stest?loc=2 to test my speed.
The reason it it also checks your upload speed. =)

Here is the link to my results.

It was about the same download speed as http://bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/ .

I can actually hit 4megs upload. But the routing to that server is kinda slow. I use there other speedtest server usually. It has better routing to me.

check out www.dslreports.com go to the speed tests and it will measure your up and down speeds.
