Your first ville days

Well, it used to be easy to tell who was admin because it would flash on the screen, "Stand and rise for Robert E. Lee" or something like that for each admin.

I miss that. An admin was obviously a reg.

Yeah I miss that as well.

Hrm...well other than <PWG>flankattack who doesn't count cos I was at uni with him - it musta been Robert E Lee and JD who I recognised the most....mainly cos I recall REL sending system messages to the server when it came up (and flank and I jumped on) saying stuff like "Do you guys just wait for the server to come up or something?"
Recall a sniper who made the 3rd member of STAU (St Andrews University).
We had to make a clan of 3 people to get on the clan stats list - so we recruited some guy....his name began with an E or S but I can't recall what it was, as our 3rd memeber and jumped to the top of the ranks :-p He disappeared eventually.
Am sure there were others I recognised as regulars...usual old PWG crowd (<PWG>Zero Hour recruit flank and I)....Fragfailure and Silverone...musta been others...am getting old - can't remember em.

Xexre I do recall cos he was the only guy who could out-HW me

I don't remember, seems ages ago for myself, almost a different lifetime. But odds were it was an admin because of the message that popped up.

Well me and Silver came to Avantiville (Jan 2001) at the same time...I'd say

-Rob (Who didn't like me early on)
-JD (always a hoser)
-Buford Pusser (who buried me at cmd pt 2)
-Cadman (Kinda just played)
-JCOM (always a blast to play with)
-Blackjack (who almost banned me)
-Greebo (the #1 evil admin, I was once #2)
-Zero Hour (who's still alive and well. I e-mailed him a few days ago.)
-Xexre (interp HW before people knew what interp was)
-anyone in PWG before me...which I joined like 15th or something like that.

THe members of 'l|SwD|l' were the ones I noticed as regs, most specifically Integral (I wonder if we will ever see him again?), Nopeace, Jim, and DK. Pebbles (Galaderiel) was the first outside of the SwD caln that I reconized as a reg

July 2001 for me. Was very difficult to even join because of TV1 being full (Avanti only). We had TV2 around then, which also ran Warpath along with Avanti. People that were playing then were..........Frag, Omega-Initiative, Greebo, Powers, Rata, Bakuryu, Warpig, Rob, Buford, J.D., Mortem, TYO....etc. I remember it was a major spyfest at times. Don't see many spies anymore. At least not like then. Little bit later Chen, Mulisha, Wybkull, Spiff came along. Playstyle changed alot, but still had tons of fun. More relaxed atmosphere.
