no, not about the nintendo Wii but...

so has anyone heard yet about this thing yet?

http://www.ageia.com/physx/

i read an article about it in the paper the other day but it was less than informative about how it actually worked so i used my friend google and found their site..

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814121015

the only problems i'm seeing now is that it has a very limited game support and it is still kinda pricy at 260 for the lowest priced one ( i think there are only 2 right now)

whatcha think?

Pretty much the same thing as you Rep. Pricey, and unsupported. But down the road....

Also, if you have a slower CPU, this will beef up your performance. But if you have that kind of money to buy a Physx card, then you should be able to upgrade your CPU

We are definetly in a gaming revolution right now. The standard PC game machine will change in the next two years. How games are made and processed will change even the way we play them.

I think some other company just annonced an AI card. I don't think we'll need all these cards once games start becoming optimized for multithreading. the only game that looks like the physX card would help alot with is cell factor.
